John Matheson, Indianapolis, was killed due to a generative AI failure where a person asked for a non-allergenic recipe which was actually not non-allergenic. It killed John Matheson and his family is suing Google for $55 million dollars.
John Matheson was allergic to fava beans, which could not only put him into hemolytic shock due to the nature of his allergy. His friend asked Google’s Gemini AI system to create a non-allergenic recipe. The AI incorporated fava beans through what AI scientist’s call “hallucination.” These hallucinations are a result of the closed loop system which was proven to be created by aliens and which these AI systems consistently refer to in order to answer queries posed by users.
